Crew Classroom Talks is an innovative, yet simple initiative focused on bringing construction and skilled trade professionals directly into the middle school and high school classrooms using virtual methods.
This FREE initiative gives students in the classroom the opportunity to interact one-on-one with professionals across the country who are on their job site – whether it’s an office or a piece of equipment or the trenches or a high-rise in NYC or… ANYWHERE!
How it works:
A typical Classroom Talk is about 40-45 minutes, which includes a Crew introduction, five to six presenters, and a Q&A session. Prior to the Talk, our Board of Directors vet and select a variety of skilled professionals to speak, in hopes that each student can see themselves represented in one of the presenters. Classroom Talk presenters are required to talk about their career path, a day in the life, pros & cons and provide a salary range.
